The Yellowstone River flowing out of Yankee Jim Canyon just south of the entrance to Yellowstone Park. Dome Mountain rises above the river, and the fall colors contrast with the blue sky and river. On the right bank is the Old Yellowstone Trail. Trappers and Miners followed this trail as the first explore Yellowstone. Later wagon trains and narrow gauge railroads followed.
